Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur

The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur founded the Julie Community Center in 1975.  For over 40 years they have served on our Board, provided Center and program administration and leadership, volunteered in our programs, and assisted us with grant funding and fund raising for our programs and operations.

Apostolic Towers

We have provided health case management to residents and monthly blood pressure screenings. We also help stock their food pantry

Baltimore City Schools

Commodore John Rogers Elementary / Middle School  (PS #27): We have had an AmeriCorps volunteer in kindergarten classroom for many years.

Tench Tilghman Elementary / Middle School  (PS #13): Established the first Community School Program in Baltimore City at Tench Tilghman looking to partner with them again

Wolfe Street Academy  (PS #23):  Provide after school programming, and food pantry

Esperanza Center

Instituto de Educación Infantil

As one of our trainers in the Child Care Training Program, the Institute provides all instruction in Spanish.

Johns Hopkins School of Nursing

We are a clinical site for the Public Health Nursing course.  In partnership with the Esperanza Center, the students provide health education and health promotion activities for patients and the community.

Maryvale Preparatory School

The school has a food drive each November to provide a large donation of non-perishable food items which we use to make Thanksgiving baskets and provide food for those in need throughout the winter.

McElderry Park Neighborhood Association and Center

For many years we have partnered with the McElderry Park Neighborhood Association to provide GED instructions to community members.

Notre Dame Mission Volunteers- an AmeriCorps Program

The Julie Community Center hosts 1 or 2 volunteers each year.  The volunteers help us develop and implement youth and adult education programs such as the GED program and assisting in classrooms at our local elementary schools and Head Start programs.
